so strip down clean and paint

so i have gone through about a dozen ultimas and sold them all :( but i finally got this today from a guy down in Tacoma
the red shocks look like they were taken off ,or rather never put on ,another :roll: majic johnson motor thats about four i have now they must be good

so this thing is mint the car has balls through out the trans is silky smooth before i took a screwdriver to it
oh and the brown had to go :!: so after taking the old brown paint off time for some white . :D

well i guess when your ten it looks cool im just glad there was no prep done the brown came of in an hour chip chip chip ,
time to let the paint dry tonight then put the last decals on im still torn weather to put the msc back in?

Looks great. Will you then paint the figure from the outside? The figures are tough for me to paint myself to the standards I want.

Looking forward to your resto, Paul. However, to be honest--the Ultima's decal set has to be one of the ugliest color combos ever. What were Kyosho thinking? "Let's use peanut butter & banana sandwich for the new Ultima color scheme!" Urgh...if it were me back in the 80's, if I built an Ultima, I probably wouldn't even have used the main decals, instead I might've gone with a red-and-something paint scheme emphasizing the red shocks...or used an X-acto to remove the brown parts from the decals.

Since the decals have a lot of brown, who can fault the kid for painting it brown? :lol: At any rate, it *does* look better with white.

Ha - peanut butter and banana :-).

I really like the Ultima Pro green and yellow scheme.
