Hey guys,
Picked up a new-condition JRXT with a slipper, but need to know
which one and where can I get slipper pads for it.
Maybe it's A&L?
Here's some pics:
Thanx

found it. Looks like A&L. This is the only one I have seen with the triangulated spur gear screws.

What is slipper pad material made of? Maybe we could make some if we knew.

Thanks acon! Great info. I thought it might've been an A&L, but wasn't sure, and the previous owner didn't know either.

I wish I knew.....its kind of a stiff rubbery pad, but feels abrasive too. I think that you could use the same material as
like the Associated Rulon disks, but this one is a bit smaller in diameter than the Stealth tranny pads. Its inner hole is 7/16" dia, and the outer dia is 1".
This guy had the slipper cranked down and the pad off center between the plates, so now its distorted & I need new ones.
Anybody else have another replacement idea for these pads?

You can buy a 24 foot by 24 foot sheet of 1/16 rulon here for $900

Seems to me if you could find someone who processes this stuff they'd give you some scraps, a little work with a hole saw or two and you could cut a rulon disc easily. Would it work, I have no idea. But could be fun to try.
Reading up on Rulon, seems the "j" is proably wat we need. 12" and 12" is expensive at $150 or so but you can make a lot of slipper clutches out of it.

Anyone have a caliper handy to check thickeness.

LOL I don't know if I'm willing to go that nuts for slipper pads!!! I'll make my own from someone else's pads if I have to....but thanks for the info!
Anyone else got some ideas for those of us with A&L Powerclutches and no new pads???

I may have one of those slipper pads. I bought a NIP one many years ago just for the A&L sticker. I'll dig around and let you know if I find it.

There was one posted in BST, but was gone before anyone knew it,

but it was the whole set.
a double pad upgrade will be better for BL applications (just my idea).
