What's Old is New: Dirt Oval edition *PICS*

So this is a project I've wanted to build for a few years now but never really got around to it, at one point I even had most of the parts, ended up selling the R&D rear bulkhead and mounts I had, and used the chassis for a truck.

Fast forward to a few weeks ago, I found the wolf rear bulkhead for 5 bucks on DODC, then picked up a first gen terminator on the bay that was poorly listed for a song and a dime. I've had the 2.25 motor plate for a number of years, as well as most of the other parts just in bags or in boxes. Lastly I picked up a new Kranzel's 2.25 3mm chassis plate. After collecting the bulk of the parts I got to polishing and assembly. The body that's going on this car is a Factory Works Rocket Latemodel, which is going to get a very special paint job by doug when he gets caught up after the holidays, that's going to stay secret 'til it's done though

Anyway, here's what I have so far, the car will get full electrics and will probably get some shake down laps with a practice body. I know the "what's old is new" thing is geared towards the klein arm'd buggy thing, but I kind of take it as building a car that is based off the early 90's team car/worlds car era and making it as competitive as possible in the B4 era, This is kind of the same thing, just for dirt oval.

I'm not sure bill, it has two little lightning bolts under where the spurgear is, it came on a stealth trans I bought off dodc years back for a measly sum.

Kranzels is (one of) my lhs. They relocated earlier this year, about a mile from the old location, for those of you that didn't know. I stop by once a week, or so. I was just there a few days ago checking out the c/w street-trac tires and rims, but I didn't see any foam tires/wheels except for truck ( not c/w). The shop is a little smaller now and they don't have a track anymore :( . They have a lot of SC truck tires and very few buggy and truck tires.

If the Thorpe product was old stock, it is gone. I don't recall seeing anything thorpe hanging on the wall and I frequent "the wall" often 8) . If David is holding out on me... :o

I talked to David last week, he said they uncovered them during the move.

No Reg, they are up for grabs, I have one set NIP that I've had for a long time, used to run them BITD and always had issues with the aluminum topshafts.
