MY LUCKY DAY IN RC COLLECTING

Post by longboardnj »

Growing up a guy that had a local 4x4 shop had some rcs in storage. I was able to get in touch with him through a friend. Eventually I ended up finding out he still had a few rcs he was willing to sell. It turns out he had a new in box wild one with special bonus tamiya 1200mah battery and charger and a mint blackfoot ready to run. I had to have them and at three hundred dollars for both I couldnt pass it up.

Build it? Screw that, sell that bitch (to someone who will appreciate it) buy three used ones and give them to your buddies so you can all drive together, blow them up, jump 'em off a cliff, light 'em on fire, run a train on neighbors cat -whatever. -Jeff

When I bought my first rc(a grasshopper) it came with one of thoes same special packages containing the radio and battery with charger. Came from a toys r us in Bangor Maine. I've never seen one anywheres else. They at that time carried the grasshopoper, blackfoot and the wild one I think.

Nice score by the way:)

Cool to see some stuff still mint in the box out there. I had a blackfoot for a VERY long time that had ALOT of mods to it. Should have never sold it---man does it bring back memories.....
I don't mind being behind the modern times, at least we had common sense back then.
