HI!... Well I finally picked up the two RC-10's from a friend's buddy. One is a Gold pan "A" chassis and the other is a TEAM car "B" chassis.

The Team car I plan on restoring to original rolling chassis but it will have modern ESC with brushless motor.

The Gold pan will be a custom built RC-10.

Here's what they looked like when I 1ST got them :

HI!... I started working on the TEAM car the last few days.

I have a buddy that owns a powder coating business, and I'm going to get him to redo the chassis black again.

I have a sand blaster in my shop that I'm running fine glass bead through. I glass beaded the chassis, motor cage and front support.

HI!... As I mentioned a few posts up I will be having the TEAM car chassis powder coated black.

I dropped it off at the powder coaters tonight. He said it will be done in a day or two.

I stopped off at the drugstore tonight also and picked up 1 liter of Hydrogen Peroxide for $5. LOL! It's the 3% solution. Just need to head to Home Depot now to get a UV light.

HI!... Well I picked up too large glass jars with plastic lids from the dollar store tonight. Also grabbed some aluminum foil. Picked up a 26 watt UV light from a local pet store. Man for only 26 watts this thing is super bright.

Just currently soaking all the white plastic RC-10 parts in a container full of CLR kitchen/bathroom cleaner. I want to make sure the parts are super clean before I put them in the Peroxide. Probably going to soak them for 2-3 days. I'll post up pics when their done.

Can you post up finished pics and the process you use to whiten the parts? I've never heard of this treatment before.

HI!... Well I let the parts soak in CLR kitchen/bathroom cleaner for a few hours and then I scrubbed them clean with a fine scrub brush. This is how they turned out :

Off the car :

After cleaning with CLR :

Then I dropped them in 3% Hydrogen Peroxide under a 26 watt UV light with reflective aluminum foil.

HI!... Well it's been 3 days since I submerged the RC-10 white parts in Hydrogen Peroxide with a UV light shining on them. I removed the parts today and submerged them in some RIT whitening solution.

This is how they turned out :

HI!... Well I got a few EBAY parts in today. For this build and some others.

Original TEAM car chassis (B) stamp :

The chassis is in good shape. No bends, cracks, no extra holes drilled. Quite a few light scratches on the bottom, but those will easily be sanded of and then I'll run it through my glass beader.

Finally found some original NIP uni-dogbones for the TEAM car :

Then got some RPM front/rear "A" arms :

Also got the decal sheet from Doug :

I'll be driving 2 hours tomorrow to meet up with a guy that's selling me 4 RC-10's plus a crap load of extra parts.

- 1 Gold tub (A)
- 1 World car
- 1 Graphite car
- 1 TEAM car

I'll post pics when I get them home.
