My pile of parts updated

Here is my pile of parts to begin the return of my RC 10 journey.
Having raced RC10's in 1988-1989 I'm not sure what car I would have had back then, but I have always loved this buggy.

I raced the car using a dirt oval body all decked out like a Miller Beer can with the #38 on it , all white parts dyed red, foam tires, and I ran it on a 10th scale dirt oval. I finally sold the car in '90 or '91 after I converted it over to a complete sprint car chassis complete with fake headers, dual wings, big & little tires, and everything. So I never really had run this car in buggy form.

The main focus is to do this so that it is a shelf queen and it may get run once and awhile.

I have been acquiring this hog pog of parts from eBay, the local hobby shops, and here.

I was going to build this as a box stocker, but I decided that would be boring.

I've got a really cool theme for this buggy and includes my favorite soda beverage of all time, Mountain Dew.

So the journey begins.

Thanks!! Nope, no BST ad.
I'm stripping the car down so I can dye the parts black and red and I have the body all trimmed up.
I was going to dye the parts today since I have Tuesdays off, but the wife put the kiybosh on that until she get's home tonight to clear a place off the on the counter. She hates when I do this stuff.

Here is a update.
This will end up being a self queen.

Th chassis has been painted gold, and parts dyed black.
I still have to get the wing mount kit, paint and decal wing, add window netting, set driver in, and get a motor into it.

The headlights and gray wheels are pretty cool. That paint scheme reminds me of one of my favorite cars.

Thanks guy's!
Great looking car.

I was trying to replicate a vintage Mountain Dew can. I tried dabbing the paint inside with a brush for the different green colors to emulate the stripes of a vintage can. I think it would have come out better if it was air brushed.
It looks good I think though.
