Hello, I looked for this info and had no luck.I am sure it is here somewhere or maybe I missed it.Sorry,I am sure this has been asked numerous amounts of time. I am looking to convert my 10t to 3/16 cvd's.What all is needed to do the conversion? Also what is a good rim/tire combo to go with once this has been completed. Thanks for any help.

You need a 3/16 CVD kit, and 3/16 X 5/8 bearings and T2/T3/T4 wheels. Tire combo's vary, but the proline edge and the proline bowtie rears are cheap, versatile and damn plentiful on flea bay-

Make sure you either heat shrink or get the RC10GT pin retainer clips (sold separate) for the bells...those pins come out awfully easy and destroy arms when they do. Not sure why they don't come with the kit.

I knew about the heat shrink but no the pin retainer clips...do you have a part number? I searched Tower and Associated's pages but couldn't find one.

The closest I could find was the quick change pin retainer:

those are the ones they fit the associated 3/16" b44 rear cvas I am running - I assume the mip ones are the same bell size

No, the offset on the T4 parts are different. you need the axles from the B2/3, T2/3 or a custom works oval car.

the t3 stub axles fit in the rc10t hubs. this way you can run rc10t dogbones with t4 wheels.....

I built the CVDs and was ready to install them (using AE CVD set, RC10T rear hubs, 3/16 bearings, spacers) but they don't fit if I use all the shims the instructions say to.

The instructions call for two shims inside the hub and three on the outside before the pin. Do I need T2 or T3 rear hubs?

I'm sure I could get away with one inside and one out, but I just want to see what you guys think. Any thoughts?

the shims are there to take up slack, and possibly fine tune the placement of the bone in the drive cup.

use as many as it takes to fit it properly, and stick the leftovers in your stash of spare parts. no big deal.
