how vintage is my rusty?

it is the first gen nitro rustler (see pic below)

also, the motor is shot, i tore it apart today, the connecting rod was broke, the bearings were seized, i had to hammer on the crankshaft out to even get it to start moving. I am most likely going to get a brand new motor for it, most likely a HPI Nitro star 3.0.

EDIT: forgot the photo!!

here it is minus the body
Image

it has the old body style, but it don't have the wing, and in don't have any stickers on it at all.

seems like my original N Rusty had a brown chassis and then they went to blue. I tried to look for pics on TRX web site but came up empty.
Still a good one to have around.

I agree with muck. I think it is a second release rusty. As the first ones I don't beleive had the blue chassis on them.

It's a first run second generation. The newer ones had the blue chassis and the cylinder head you have, then went to a blue cylinder head and then finally to the 2.5 series engines. The first generation ones had a brownish-purple chassis on them. Nothing other than cosmetics changed on the first generation and first run second generation.
