Hit the mother load

I was looking for a few extra cars to clean up and maybe flip or trade. Gives me something to do over the winter. And ran across a Craigs list add. 8 cars for $300 bucks . By the time I got ahold of him he sold the team car and one champ car but picked up another. Which I found out later was a very early Edinger "no stamp" car. Good year rear tires, correct shocks, correct steering, light scratches on the chassis, bearings throughout, but it does have a small hole in the side of the chassis where a switch was installed. I also got two other late Edinger cars, with the "no slot" spring retainers. One is pretty nice, one is a total basket case. It actually looks like a pretty clean and straight car if I can get all the silver paint off of it. Is there a way to strip paint and not damage the anodizing? I got one nice Cadillac car, a mixed up car that looks like a early 6 cear champ with short arms on a "B" stamp chassis. The chassis looks brand new. I got a stealth Champ car, that is going to be my new runner and I got a modified car with team car shocks, associated universals, sassy chassis, andy's a-arms. Snagged all 7 cars for $250 ($35.71 each) Time to go buy some peroxide. :)

Didn't picture any of the bodies. None of them were all that great.

here is the link to my photobucket album. That shows all the cars in better detail.

that c.e. looks like it took a nice shot in the nose......

as for the painted one, lacquer thinner/enamel reducer won't hurt the anodizing.

Looks like you came away with a really nice set of cars at a good price. Man I wouldn't know where to begin.

Looks like he crunched two of them pretty good. Regardless, anyone of us would have jumped on this deal. Thanks for sharing.

I was trying things in my garage, and PB blaster is working great. It doesn't seem to be a very good quality paint. I'm glad whoever was dumb enough to paint in the first place also didn't pick a very good can of paint. Its the worst, so I'm starting with it first.

Rather not say and loose my source. But its near a city with a large flea market. Basically a huge community garage sale. It was within driving distance for me and I live in Nebraska.

Here is one I restored. Started with the worst one. The next one I'm working on is the light gold Edinger car. Its looking Really Good. Also using some parts from various cars to make my Old to New buggy. Also have enough parts to make a graphite team car. And a 6 gear runner with a Sassy Chassis and hot trick steering. Probably make that a short arm car.
