ITS ALIVE!!

Post by tn102 »

I finally got around to getting my RC10 Running, and it works perfectly. I just need to buy the new tires I found on eBay for the front (old ones are ripped at the edge of tread and sidewall, but hold up for driving on pavement/dirt) and rebuild the rear shocks (just replace the oil maybe??) It sits fine after I set it down on the ground, but it won't come back up after a bump, or I push it down.

I still have to either make some body mounts for it so I can use one of the bodies I was originally planning to use, or I can paint and trim a pro-buggy body I got when I ordered the ESC and motor.

I had to superglue the servo, receiver, and ESC down, cuz nothing was holding for me.

A shock rebuild would be good (change the orings) and oils. as for the servo esc glue stuff, a 3M double sided tape (extra strong) would do the trick. now the question is, how will you remove them in case you need them to be removed?

Well, I am getting a 2.4 GHz transmitter for either my 'pede or nitro rustler, so it'll be replaced by the old one in one of those. it seems the current one has issues, it will cut out a lot, and then i will have to get right next to it and wait a few seconds for it to come back on.

I will probably try to use a screw driver underneath it to remove it. I did leave the tape I had on the bottom after I found out that the one supposed sticky side didn't stick well at all.

I definantly need to remount everything, I have to get the battery to sit straight so I can use the cups. I had a glitch at top speed and it hit a bump and it then cartwheeled. The battery then decided to fly off, and rip the terminals out of the plug.

Right now also for shocks I taped in some spacers so it'll sit up a bit in the rear so i could drive it and not have it drag on the ground.
