Nothing too exotic but I found this little treasure chest for next to nothing at a local swap meet this morning.

Nice little find. Those Race Prep stockers were the shiz back in the day. EVERYONE used them for stock class off road racing.

Something like this is still fairly unique, at least in my neck of the woods. Mostly you find Traxxas Slash's that are beat to crap and someone wanting to get all their money back out of them. The guy I bought these from had a ton of rc stuff for sale, a couple of B3's priced at $75 each but they were a bit thrashed so I passed on them. Most of the stuff was not really my style. Besides that box of motors was a real pita to lug around all day - just about pulled my arm off.

Can you post a close-up of that le mans motor? I'm currently using that old motor and would like to find more info about it. Thanks!

Coool, thanks!

Yep, that's the same 1 I have, just not in as nice condition.
I didn't realize it was a 480, any idea how many turns it has?

25 x 4 turns / +/-22,000 RPM and the 480 figure stands for 480 seconds, that is 8 minute (theoretical) autonomy

The 480 gold was my first non mabuchi motor BITD... Was brought to me from Japan by an friend of my dad who was an airline pilot in what 1987? It landed straight in my monster beetle where it was grossly inadapted  I have no idea what happened to it but I know I should have kept it :? ...

sweet find - and a heavy one indeed!!! What model is that trinity mill in the back?
