Post by moozo »

HI ALL
I STARTED RACING BACK IN THE VERY EARLY 1990'S WHEN I WAS STILL AT SCHOOL AND LOVED IT, THEN I GOT MY REAL CAR AND STOPPED RACING  COULDN'T AFFORD TO RUN BOTH!!
ANYWAY GOT BACK INTO IT OVER THE LAST COUPLE OF YEARS AND FOUND MYSELF LOOKING FOR THE OLDER BUGGIES FROM THE 90'S AND STARTED TO REBUILD THEM GOT ABOUT 19 OR SO CARS NOW THE 2 MOST MODERN BEING A B4 AND A COUGAR SV, A FEW MONTHS AGO I FOUND ON EBAY SOMEONE SELLING UP RC STUFF FOUND IN HIS GARAGE, ANYWAY I WON THIS AUCTION FOR £88 FOR ABOUT £1000 OF STUFF WHEN IT WAS NEW BUT IN THIS AUCTION WAS 2 RC10B2'S ONE BUILT AND ONE BNIB BUT OPENED,
I'VE JUST GOT ROUND TO BUILDING THIS CAR AND FOUND THAT THE FRONT SUSPENSION ARMS ARE MISSING THE ONLY THING THAT IS MISSING, IT EVEN HAS THE BODY WITH IT UNPAINTED AND UNCUT.

I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO FINISH THIS CAR WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF FINDING THE ARMS AND DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO FIND THEM :D

BEST REGARDS MICK

Have you tried looking through Ebay, not just in the uk, but the U.S. and Germany as well? Also I am sure the Members here that are RC10 Savy may be able to point you in the right direction.

B3 front arms will not bolt right on with out the longer B3 ball cups, and if you do, it will make your car much wider and illegal at most tracks/races!

You need part # 9105 (standard front arms) or 9106 (carbon)

There is a set of carbon for sale here now: http://www.rctech.net/forum/r-c-items-sale-trade/186409-tons-nip-associated-parts-rc10-b2-tc3-rrp.html

I don't see any on eBay right now but, I have seen many in the past! Just wait a few days and they will pop up.

Also, many local hobby shops have old B2 parts in stock. Check your local shops first! I'm sure I saw a bunch at Pegasus in L.A. on the wall. Give them a call, I would think they would mail it out to you!

Nice B2, that is an earlier one with the alloy caps 8) - The B2's are not really worth that much right now (new about the same value as a B4) and they are great to drive, but you can get a B3 on the bay for about 40 bucks to run- The B2 was one of the shortest productions that AE did, they switched to the B3 almost immediately- IMO, If you have to have a race car, trade it for something that is more avail ( not to mention replacement parts availability )

The B3 "worlds tower" was a little narrower as I remember, but the Deja' Vu shell will fit the B3 without any mods that I know of.
