Well i just finished my Turbo Optima re build with Belt Drive.

It took a good 40hrs to completly re build this old girl. Has a almost box art shell . Not quite to turbo specs as its missing a undertray and put Yeah racing shocks as they work well and cheap.

The rear gear box took a long time to get right . Im very meticulous in drive train friction so it took a while to get it it as free as possable. As metioned it has a option house drive belt and i thre in a new hardend final pinion in as the original was past its use by date., Rear sway bar, Yeah racing shocks. 2.2 wheels with losi rubber. Ready 19t mod motor, Li Po, and a LRP Quntum speedie controlled with a 2.4g radio.

Man this thing moves so well. What was amazed how quite the drive train is. Its a little noisy compared to todays buggies but is free and quick.

I do have a left over belt drive with drive gears and rear gear box to suit. Is used but will be good for a runner. Will trade for Turbo Parts.

sounds like a very nice build mark, what final pinion brand did you use? you going to run brushed at boondal are you?

Yeah the 19t Ready is staying for now as its prety quick.

Suspension needs sorting out but will get it right.

I just bought 2 new Kyosho Harden Final pinion of e bay for $25 each and have a Thorp Hardend Final pinion as well...

That was my other Goal on my 2 week holidays. As well as get as many projects finished off.

So far my Jrx 2 is finished and running.

Thunder Shot shell painted box art. Waiting on another one i bought to finish off as it was a Fire Dragon.

Turbo Optima rebuilt and running.( big job)

Top Force almost finished with new body to match my Dyna Storm. Saddle packs fiited and 9t Z run.

Still to go is my Top Cat and Lazer ZX.

Where did you find those? I've had almost zero luck sourcing hardened final pinions on eBay. My only luck was after buying some stuff from fireboy, I asked if he had one. He said he'd look through all his stuff and fortunately he had one left. Other than that, I haven't seen squat on the 'Bay!

I'll check my parts, I might have a used skidplate. It'll be scratched but fine for a runner, and you could always sand & polish it up, if you wanted to. I'd be interested in that belt drive, what other Turbo parts do you need? PM me.
