ever since i bought my mc ss, i've wanted a set of those wheels for it. or the gold ones off of a gta trans am to match the stripes.

those cars are just awesome. i almost had an 85 gn when i was 19, but the deal fell through. i found my monte shortly after, and have had it ever since.

You must be really really bored to keep posting off-topic stuff on a site you're administrating
But hey don't stop, I don't mind a bit

there so sinister looking, the first time i got a ride in 1 was back in 87 when my father was the general manager of the local buick store i was about 9 years old man did that car leave a lasting smile on my face. i have owned a couple after that and my 6 year old son is very upset after i sold the last 87 a couple years ago. he says he missis the boost, all i heard was "daddy lets make some boost." the supercharger on the mustang just doesnt make it sound as cool as a t60 spooling up.

Incredible. Almost seems a shame to have never actually driven the thing. GNX's were only made in 1987. In my opinion, the GN/GNX was the best looking car Detroit made since the 60's. Also the fastest. You know you're doing good when you can out-accelerate a Countach in a Regal.

I am with dog on this one. I find other more common cars much more appealing. And for 95 grand, you can have a real exotic car. Nothing exotic about the GN/GNX.

You're not going to get much of an exotic car for $95K, especially not one that rare. Plus, the GNX is faster than pretty much any car in that price range. The $95K tag also has a lot to do with the 9 mile odometer, you can obviously get a very nice GNX that has been driven for much less. I'd say rare needs to be included in the definition of exotic, cars made in the thousands are not rare, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, etc. A 1 of 500, Regal-based coupe that is faster than most Ferraris and Lamborghinis might not qualify as an exotic, looks-wise, but you're gonna look funny sitting in your Testarosa, getting smoked by a dude in a Buick with a baby seat in the back and a trunk full of groceries.

 Yes, I understand there is a novelty to that but you can get a Countach for under six figures and to me, that is exotic. Anything Italian is exotic to most people. Sure they may not be rare but they are faster. The GNX is still just a G body but the Countach is a true exotic. And I am not sure a Testarosa would get smoked my a GNX. It may be close but the Ferrari was on par with the Countach. I just don't see where the GN/GNX cars where that much faster than the run of the mill 5.0's and SS's. They may have been faster, but how much?

I am seeing 0-60 in 5.5 seconds and 1/4 in mid 14's. That is not much faster than a GT Mustang.

If I am wrong, someone show me different.

The GNX is fast at 4.7 seconds to sixty and 13.4 s/104 mph. Since it's a turbo car, you could easily chip it and get bigger gains. While yes it is fast in a straight line, it's definetly not a canyon carver. Like I said before, they never tickled my taint because it's just not my taste in styling. The buick regal is the cholo dream car around my parts.
