I wish I could find something like that lying in my closets.

I don't even have a closet..........

Cool looking piece of dirt oval history, that stuff always looks cool to me.

Looks like a one-off cobble to me. Rear end is part TPS chain drive that was hacked in half, part Dominator, part RC10. Typical of OG dirt oval cars—that was back when people would build cars JUST for dirt oval racing out of anything and everything they thought they could get to work. Back when there were no kits (or they were stupid expensive) that you could buy off the shelf. Back when you have to know how to build a race car and set it up and there was no internet to tell you how it should be done.
Cars like that are dirt oval iconic. Cobbled and hand-made, yes, but that took a tremendous amount of thought and effort to pull it off. And it looks like it was used pretty heavily, too, which proves the point.
I wouldn't touch a thing. Put the dirt tires back on it, and put it back on the shelf. It's awesome the way it is.

My keen eye sees one universal axle and one dog bone axle. Maybe an oval thing or just a needed repair between races.
Anyway, it looks like a quality car that will clean up good. Nice that it has a good body still. I agree with ERouge keep it as is as a snapshot of what a oval car used to be.
