I am guilty of having a few sealed kits but there is almost no question as to what parts are in the boxes. If I had this one I would have to open it (carefully) there are too many variables on this one. But it is your kit and your choice. Any background to share with us, ie when, where, how long, etc.

I bought this kit about 10 years ago from local AE sole agent close out before they move to new shop.

Man you got some will power. I would have cracked that baby open and built it. You know save the important bits (rims/tires) and run that bad boy!

You know you can heat that sticker seal with a hair dryer, and use a knife and gently peel one side? Once you take a peek and some pictures, you can put it back!

I agree, I have a few boxes like this with the cars that were inside and even though they are early RC10's, they weren't the "Super-early" type that had no-stamp, rear spring cups, rare tires, etc...
I think Rod's idea is perfect and I myself would do it right away, heat it and lift then take a bunch of pictures of what is in the main bag to determine what you have, and then bond back the seal. Just don't break the inner bag where everything is located! I also have a NIB kit, still sealed in the bag, but the box seal has been opened just to see what I had in there. This way you would at least know what you have and if you ever wanted to sell it, it would be impressive to know what you have there before selling it.
I have enough cars that I don't have to build this NIB one.
:D

Just check it out inside without opening the main bag, you might have hit the lottery here!

my opinion on snib kits.......

unless you paid absolute top dollar for it, i can understand keeping the box sealed. if you open it, your gonna lose money when you go to resell it. 99.9% of the time. but, if it's something you got for next to nothing (compared to what you SHOULD have paid), why not open it up? hell, even if you build it, your still gonna make money on the thing when you sell it. so why not take a little bit of a hit on the potential profit, and get the satisfaction of building it first?
