Drivers stand fire Knox Au.

Post by The Fuhrer »

For those of you that have had the pleasure of racing at the Knox track in S.E Melbourne, I regret to inform that the drivers stand sustained damage by vandals during the course of the weekend.
All of our track maintenance equipment has been destroyed in the fire.

Obviously this is a blow to the Club, which, has been a cornerstone of Australian EP racing for over two decades and one of the pioneering Clubs for Vintage racing here in Australia.

A damn shame and just mindless destruction.

Damn Neil - that is a real shame.

I just dont get this kind of stuff - its like "keying" a car - what the hell kind of satisfaction can be gotten by causing this kind of damage. It just makes no sense at all.

I am sure that the Knox crew were insured - but that doesn't take away the annoyance or pain that this kind of senseless act causes. Plenty of fantastic battles have been had on that stand for a very long time, lots of memories for many different people............that cant be replaced. A real shame.
