heres the deal

im going on my instincts.i have the rpm tranny for my rc10 which ratio is 2.65.now my b4 ratio is 2.61.i asked ae and gave them the info and they said i should gear 17/81 for a 17x2for the rc10.well i tried that and it runs like crap.i run 22/81 for the b4 with a 17x2....

so before i try it im thinking since the rc10 tranny ratio is so close to the b4's why not run the same gearing???

i want your opinions before i try it because i dont want to screw anything up

on your b4, with that gearing, your final drive is 9.61. on your rc10, with the gearing on the b4, you will be at a 9.75. it's real close. if the tires on the rc10 are smaller in diameter than the b4, you could probably go to a 23. with an 81/23 on the rc10, you'll be at a 9.33. a little more top end. if you want to play around with gearing, here's how ya do it.

spur gear, divided by the pinion gear, equals whatever number. then multiply that number by the trans ratio, and that is your final drive. hope this helps ya.

im actually running dirthawgs in rear on both.b4 would really take a 23/81 but the hawgs are bigger so i went 22.
