Here we go again. This will be a somewhat similar build but there will be a couple of surprises. Picked up another "A" stamp chassis that has just been dropped off at Frank's for milling and powdercoating.

The person I had bought this off of had etched "Hauling ASS" and lightning bolts into the anodizing, so I stripped it down.

No pictures yet, but I am going to be doing this one with more "older" parts than newer, but the important stuff is going to be new......

I still have some really nice original gold shocks with the non slotted cups that are going to go on this one.

You should have left that vintage etching on the chassis. Thats badass!

I would have if it didn't look like it was done with a cheap pocket knife....

I might have decals mage that say it though.....

No pictures yet. This chassis is going to be a heavily modified to accept a stealth from a B4. Going to be a neat little project. Have a bunch of stuff on the way in, and will definitely try to get the pictures for each step.

It actually is going to end up with more period parts than new parts. Only non period parts should be the motor/transmission/ESC, rx, cvds, servo and battery. Still need a rear bulkhead and rear suspension arm mounts.

do you know which rear bulkhead and rear suspension arm mounts you are gonna use???

Are there differnt types that will fit on the old gold pan? I have RPM arms coming, and was just going to use original mounts, but if b2/b3/b4/gt mounts will work, I'm all for it.

Same with the rear bulkhead. Is there something differnt that can be used to take the regular rear shock tower?

When I had bought the car that became Project X, the bell cranks were the red flat Hot Trick ones. I'm going to use those bell cranks on this car. Going to try to stay with a "Red" theme, but at the same time, I want it to be a mishmash of hand me downs and random stuff, hence the "stepchild"....

So, I'm going about this build in a completely different manner: I'm collecting the parts I need FIRST. and ordering them all at once to save on shipping. I'm going to try to stay away from FT stuff unless I already have it or I just can't do without it. Having problems finding "economical" solutions to a few things, but I am not done researching yet.

I like this build better than the last one already because I am not really going by the "Old is New" format, but at the same time, am centering it around a B4 Stealth.

I like the hot trick bellcranks, I would hang on to those for another project if you are not going to use them on this one.
This was from the Project X thread. I'm going to use the Hot Trick bellcranks on this build, and I like the way they look already.....
