connecticut racers, new track in winsted

rc hobbies and more opend a new outdoor offroad track about a month ago.
i haven't raced rc in 17 years but recently got a used b4 and figured why not, the track is really close to home for me.

the track is 1/10 off road, they are getting clay soon but right now it's loamy. calibers work great.
really cool people, laid back atmosphere.
they are running mostly sc trucks and an open sportmans class for everyone else right now.
so come one come all!
hopefully we can get some more buggies! sc is cool and all but i just love them dang buggies!

i have thought about bringing my son up there to race. I live in Torrington about 15 minutes from the track. Do you plan to attend the VONATS?

I want to attend the vonats, and hopefully i will, but anything can happen with a 1year old boy. lol
i'm in t-town too btw.
they race @ 2pm on saturdays.
it would be a great place for your kid to run. very relaxed atmosphere. really fun place.

Nice to see a new track in CT. Haven't raced in years, but it would be fun to dust something off. Last time I ran was at the now closed Hobby World in Tolland back in the late 80's and there used to be a track upstairs in a factory in Manchester-don't recall the name, though. I tried RCMadness once-great track, but a little too "serious" for my liking.

you should come check it out, it's very relaxed. just a bunch of people looking to have a good time, nothing serious.....yet. lol

Have you come down to RCHR?? We're gonna start to race our Vintage Cars in preparation for the VONATs...
