A & L POWER CLUTCH

Post by FasterLouder »

I have an old Alec & Lane (A&L) Power Clutch.
Just trying to work out what tranny it's for.
Ruled out Losi LRM,I'm thinking it's for a 6 gear RC10 tranny...But,I can't try it out,'cause my RC10 has an MIP SP-1 tranny in it.

Anyone know what this cool old slipper is for?

Thanks!

BTW-That Gang War album rocks.
Mr. Wayne Kramer (ex MC5) and Mr. Johnny Thunders (New York Dolls,Heartbreakers,Junkies).

Found an advert in the November 1990 issue of RCCA, it says the Power Clutch fits the Losi, MIP, and A&L trannies. There is an article comparing different slipper clutches in a '91 or '92 issue of RCCA, but Spotlight is really slow right after I found this one, so I can't find it right now. It had the Power Clutch, the MIP slipper, I think Team Pit Stop or somebody else (never seen it mentioned outside of that article), and the stock Stealth slipper for some reason.

Actually that looks different, it must be even older.

The slipper in the pics is a Schumacher slipper, for the Procat series of cars. -Jeff

Definately an old Shumacher slipper for the CAT/Procat series of cars previous to the Bosscat/Cougar2 type slippers.
