so this little project has been on and off for months and with the down seizing of my collection this got all the goodies this will be the camping Beatle as we mainly stop by the beaches around WA all im waiting for should arrive this
week http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370404511236&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

i robbed the lethal weapon trans out of another build i think the old ball dif that was in here wouldn't last long in the sand with a big brush less set up and it will be saddle pack lipos

Image

the bearing are pretty worn so i will be getting some sealed for the trans and the uni,s will be replaced with modded B44 cvds when they go bang

Image

i found the blue rpm wheely bar in the LHS for a buck it has no wheels but i think in the dunes it will stop it flipping over

Image

and the final thing to get some beach fun is a traxxas waterproof servo one of those high torque ones

i will be dyeing the rear wheels black to match the front and have just found the other bezel for the mini mag headlamp im giving it headlamps so when i have to walk the dog late on the campsite i can see were im walking

I may have a set of black rear wheels to match the fronts if you're interested. (As long as they aren't 2.2's)
I'm sure I have a set of 2.0's for the rear and possibly a pair of matching 2" (wide style, same width) fronts. So far, I've found one of each..

but i will be looking to change out the rear shafts for some latest ultima shafts i dont think the old uj,s will last long in the sand with a brushless lipo setup im going to name it the 6 foot rooster cos that's what i want out the back in the dry sand
any pointers as to what might fit would be great

so after an afternoon of of frustration i have something to run fresh boca sealed bearings all round i slipped on some nice real rubber slicks and headed out the door 20 seconds later back in the shop this went on for an hour i just cant get the slipper to stop slipping the motor is 17.5 i think and i have the punch as low as it will go on a 1300 mah 3s and its a good five seconds before it stops slipping and gets some speed up i changed out the slipper pad for a new one same and even with the spring compressed it still slips the same this is really frustrating i had to shim the center wheel in the trans with two turns of tape and the belt is not slipping i would here the clicks so any help guys would be great as i would like to glue my paddles and go make some rooster tails this weekend well here are some pics of the finished article

Why not remove the slipper?

It worked for my single belted Triumph trans'd Ultima for years..with no problems.
