Well I had never thought about it so I got out a ruler and checked. The front wheels are 191mm wide. The back wheels have spacers in them so they come to 193 mm. The body measured out at 198 mm at the rear widest part of the rear fender flares. When I had the original rear wheels and tires on there they just stuck out enough to have that menacing Turbo look from so many '80's posters and mags. I saw a recent post on treehuggers project thread using a 911 body and solid axle; that was the look it had. I bought that body when I first got into rc. Had no clue that cars had different widths. I originally thought it could go on an rc10 and that I could have some kind of off road/rally car like the Porsche Gruppe A rally cars. Then I saw Tamiya had some WRC rally kits and thought well I have a body, I just buy a kit with out and put this on. So I got a TAO2 RS kit (cause RS can mean Rally Sport, Renn Sport, Really Stupid idea...). Well that car has a proper R32 Skyline body on it now and this body found a home when the DS came out. Besides it just seemed proper that a rear engine rear drive car have an appropriate body.

Sweet ride BTW, I have always had a soft spot for 911's, especially turbos. I would love to build one, but all the current 911 body's out there are undefined and lame. Modern = Lame

I picked up a roller from treehugger over the summer and decided to pull off some of the harder to replace parts from the other car. Added lights to the Porsche body and some other stuff to it to make a nice shelfer. Still haven't decided whether to add HPI 2 speed or leave the HG alloy in there.
