Hello all my name is Tony "Scoutguy" been building and racing r/c's since about 1984 and loving every second of it.

Recently I was in a very bad head on car crash it happened on March 18th this year and been in hospital bed since broke both my legs multiple fractures broke my pelvis the bone went though and shattered pelvic bone and also broke elbow. was in hospital for 25 days and now in rehab facility and may be in here for couple more months. and of coarse the idiot that hit me was high on meth and walked out of hospital the night it happened with minor injures but is looking a jail time now. So the reason for that story is once the pain level got under control I was going nuts just laying in bed so had girlfriend bring up laptop for there I ordered a Axail honcho to build in bed told her it was my therapy truck so that was great. but with all this time I had I've been working on a lot of my r/c cars to pass the time and its really helped and recently got a nib R/C10t model 7035 and should get it in a couple of days and doing research on that day found this site and all I can say is its awesome and now I'm going to start restoring some vintage r/c's

A little about me I'm 38 years old with 3 wonderful kids who mean the world to me a x-wife who drives me nuts and a girlfriend who is amazing with all that's happened. I work for Ford Motor Company been there for 16 years. my screen scoutguy is because I have a 1968 Scout 800 I bought last fall its from the southwest and body wise its sweet so me and my sons are going to start to restore when I get better.

Like I said been into r/c for years and wish I had back all of the cars I have had. there is a list of cars I have now
RC8 FT
T4 FT
B4 FT
Baja 5b
SC10
Slash 4x4 platinum
Axial SCX10
Axial SCX10 Honcho
RC10t
all controlled by Spektrum DX3S radio

Sorry so long winded just what every body to know how my r/c cars have helped me get through this hard time in my life.
Tony

Welcome Tony! Quick word of warning: When I first joined, I had my original RC10 team car from 1993. As of today, I've added 5 more RC10s.

Hope your recovery continues on a positive path. :)

Just don't let the girlfriend see you getting better too fast, lest she stop taking care of you.

Hi guys, thanx for letting me in. I been out of rc for about 18 yrs and decided to get back into it about a year ago (now that the kids are grown). I sold most of my old cars off years ago but always held onto my rc10s(3). Over the past year or so I managed to purchase 2-rc10b4(ft), 5 rc10t4(ft), and 3-rc10t4.1(bl). I was going to sell off all vintage cars and gear (much of it has never been used), but after the many awesome projects I've seen here, I decided to keep the cars, just going to update the electronics.
I see I missed out on alot of things happen'n in the rc world in 18 yrs.
I've been following these forums for a while now and I always felt like a peep'n-tom ( I'm sorry, I know it sounds creepy) but my computer skills really are limited (do SUCK) so please accept my apologies ahead of time.
