XX4 setup for heavy metal class. Has a bunch of Trinity bits on it, came with all the running gear and an FM radio. Not sure if I should keep the truck body or not, I originally was going to ditch it and go back to a buggy body, but now that I see it in person, it doesn't look so bad.

Looks pretty nice. You got alot of cool trinity upgrades, some are hard to find. Nice score. I got one with the heavy metal body as well, I like it actually. I think it looks pretty cool whipping around the track with the truck body. Just be careful on roll overs, I broke my front body posts and now I am trying to find new ones.

Where do you get these bodies? I actually kind of like it. The mounts and bumper look to be pro made, not hacked together like I expected.

It was a kit that was released for the xx-4 years ago. Once in a while you can find NIB kits on eBay, or just the body, or other parts. kinda hard to find now. Once in a while you will see someone on this forum selling parts for the Heavy Metal conversion.

The XX4 heavy metal kit is very hard to find.

I may know where to get my hands on a NIB body/decal set & new out of pack body mount set!

  8)

Nice, looks very bling with the blue Trinity bits 8)

You really are becoming a mid-school Losi feind Dumbstixlars :D

Is this truck conversion what they called a 'Soda truck'.... seem to think that the shop where I got my NIP XXT body had some shells & decals left for these (in the UK)

I've been running Losi's for a while, my XXT that I bought new back in early 95 was my first. Won a lot of races with that truck, still have it too. Just bought another Losi on Ebay tonight, standing tally once I get that one will be five Losi, once Associated (trying to sell it though), one HPI RS4 sport, and one Tamiya FF01. So I'm definitely heavy on the Losi cars now, still want to get a XXXT also.

I didn't like it at first, but it's kinda grown on me. I plan to race this car eventually once my schedule frees up, so I'll likely put a buggy body back on it and save the heavy metal stuff since it is in mostly good condition. I drove the car around on Sunday and found that the motor was over geared. So I pulled The motor to put a smaller pinion on it and discovered the mid belt was shot, so I ordered a set of belts for it, and it would be a waste of shipping to just order belts, so I had to put a couple of other things on there too of course.
