My first RC10, restored and shortened :)

Was given my first RC10 chassis in a bit of a state, and now after a bit of cleaning, dyeing and cutting and drilling I've got a runner (well nearly!) with a shortened chassis ready for a VW Beetle body - who could resist after seeing scollins masterpiece.

Check page 2 for the finished car with body and wheels!!

Just waiting for my wheel adaptors and gear cover to arrive, then the chassis is done. Currently in the process of cutting and painting the shell Baja style.

Hope you like, and big thanks to scollins for the inspiration :D

an srb front end with an mip swing axle rc10 rear end would be the bomb. get some longer arms made up for the front end...

Nearly sorted by body out now, just waiting for a cockpit to be delivered. Once I have that and sorted the wheels out I'll be off to the beach

This body is by a UK company - Kamtec. Will cut the body posts down once I've fitted wheels and decided on ride height. Oh yeah, got to decide on the aerial placement, want it on the back really like a Sand Scorcher.

Any comments?

Looking good man. I like the split rear window on that body. I've got to post a pic of mine up.

Cheers! Looking forward to seeing your bug :D And I've just paid for some wheels from Sharkman - decided to go with original 3 spokes, was originally going to fit Sand Scorcher wheels.

Hey all of you RC10 "HACKERS"....

instead of the upside down servo mount, you might want to consider using a low profile servo in front of the batteries.

Like I did 4 my 7-cell conversion below.
