Has anyone else experienced an increase in junk email and 'spam" since joining this site? My filter catches most of it but at least two a day show up in my inbox.

It is not likely coming from here, it's from some other place that you've been or frequent. I have not registered at any new sites in a long time, yet I'm experiencing an uptick in email spam as well. Check the spam settings at your ISP as well as the settings on your computer.

i have got maybe one or 2 spam emails in the past year with no spam filter in use. so i doubt its coming off of this site.

Like Halgar, I've seen an increase in the last few months...just about since I joined this forum so I thought maybe there was a connection. I'm fortunate though; I do need prescription drugs from Canada!

If any of you ever find yourselves signing up for something in which you don't want to give your real email address you can use a disposable one from a place like http://www.mailinator.com

I had over 300 spam mails in less than 5 min from the same site (Chinese web shop)
I change my password frequently to avoid any further spam mails from that BLIIIP Chinese website

when my PC was shut down and I was a sleep ???????????

in the past spam bots would collect all the emails on sites like this. However now days email is kept private so bots cant collect them. We also have the admin approve every member wich cuts down the spam accounts.
