It's not a Landcruiser, but pretty dope.
I'm getting impatient trying to find that perfect fjz80 with locking diffs that isn't either rusty, has 300k miles, or a $15k asking price...

The thing is about a mile away too...
I'm not gonna comment on the price until I see just all what's done to it, and what kind of shape it's in.

Why sell something to make room? Just build a bigger garage or move

I opted for a Powertrax locker in my 93 2WD Chevy C1500 which turned out to not be a very good idea.

Did you just not like it or did it fail?
The rear locker in my old samurai was horrible for basically acting like a spool most of the time, but the aussie lockers in my current zuk are pretty predictable.

Just the unpredictability of it. It seems to do more or less of what it wants. A lot of times it locks up or unlocks when it shouldn't. Sometimes when taking off from a stop I'll lose all power to the rear wheels. It acts like the trucks in neutral until the thing decides to engage. That's real fun while in traffic but luckily it doesn't happen all the time.
When I bought the truck I decided to rebuild the rear end. While I had it apart I put in Richmond 4:10 gears, the Powertrax locker, and an LPW ultimate support cover.
I went with a locker because I wanted something more extreme than a posi but not as extreme as a spool. It was a split decision between getting the Powertrax or a Truetrac helical gear diff. Looking back I should have went with the Truetrac, and possibly 3:73 gears instead.
I don't mean to imply that this particular locker sucks, only that maybe a locker in general wasn't the right choice for my application. I would imagine it working much better on a 4WD truck with large heavy tires, and offroading than on a sport truck.

well... i bought it...
other than some little things here and there its super clean. other than the ifs its just what i was wanting, and truth be told the ifs is better for what i want it for anyway. can always swap a solid axle up front if it want to.
it runs and drives killer. everything works as it should. no rust at all, underneath still black from the factory. the motor even looks new, the aluminum isnt all corroded and icky. clearcoat coming off the hood and roof, and the sunroof needs fixing, but pfft.... minor details.
