Our goal is a fun and friendly place to spend your leisure time discussing the vintage R/C hobby. We really don't want to burden down the board with a boatload of rules to enforce, so we are keeping things pretty relaxed by giving members a fair amount of leeway. It will also be up to you as well to police the board to keep it under control, think of it as "our turf." If you have any issues at all, do not hesitate to PM one of the mods/admins, and let us know what your concerns are.


THE GOLDEN RULE:
HAVE FUN, BE NICE, SHOW RESPECT.
Enjoy having a place to talk about vintage R/C with fellow enthusiasts. Try to get along with, or at least respect everybody. It ain't that hard to do.

RULE #1
ABSOLUTELY NO RACIST, RELIGIOUS, OR POLITICAL POSTS. ABSOLUTELY NONE.
This needs no explanation, if we see something that references any of the above, no matter how subtle, you will be warned or suspended.

RULE #2
NO THREATS AGAINST OTHER MEMBERS.
Threaten other members and you will be suspended or banned.

RULE #3
WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE.
We all know what the REALLY bad words are, so do not use them or use any kind of mask to get around the very loose language filter we have set-up. Just converse like an intelligent human being, and you will be fine. If you use a BAD word once, you will get a warning, if you use one again, it's up to the mods to issue another warning or to suspend your membership for an indefinite period of time.
If people abuse our language rule on a continuous basis, we will implement a way more strict language filter.

RULE #4
USE THE BUY/SELL/TRADE SECTION AT YOUR OWN RISK!
I’ve been ripped off, and it isn't fun at all. Looking back on some of my deals that I got ripped off on, there were clear warning signs that the deal was shady. That being said, only make deals you feel comfortable with, and if you get swindled, chalk it up as experience and do not blame us.

RULE #5
KEEP ANY BUY/SELL/TRADE TOPICS OUT OF THE FORUMS.
Anything along those lines will be deleted by the admins/mods at their discretion without notice or explanation. We have a Buy/Sell/Trade section for a reason. That's what it's for, and where that stuff belongs. You will need at least 30 posts to gain automatic entry.

RULE #6
NO LINKS TO EBAY AUCTIONS IN THE FORUMS.
This goes along with the above rule. We have an eBay forum, and when you get access to the Buy/Sell/Trade section, this will be at your disposal. Any eBay links promoting your own personal auctions, threads started with eBay links, or any random auction for that matter, will be deleted by the admins/mods at their discretion without notice or explanation. That normally doesn't include eBay links directed towards member as help in an ongoing build thread.

RULE #7
MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS ARE NOT ALLOWED.
if we find out you have more than one account, you, along with all of your accounts will be banned. This also goes for previously banned members that create a new account. No questions asked, and no heads-up will be given.

RULE #8
NO BUMPING.
Please don't BUMP your posts. Bumping is just a waste of a good thread, and we all don't like reading threads with every other post being a bump. This goes for all forums, not just the Buy/Sell/Trade section.

RULE #9
NO APPRAISALS.
Don't start a thread or make a post asking what your item is worth. We are not "Antique R/C Car Road Show" here to appraise your goods. The answer to "What is this worth?" is "We don't know." Another answer is "Whatever someone is willing to pay for it." Your best course of action is to do an eBay search for similar items to get a ballpark figure. Prices fluctuate all the time, and there's no price guide to go by.

RULE #10
USE YOUR BRAIN.
Use common sense in your posts. If you think even for a micro-second that it shouldn't be posted, whether it be a word, image, content, whatever... Ya know what, it probably shouldn't be posted, so don't do it.




These rules are disclosed to clarify the various responsibilities of all community members here on RC10Talk. They shall be adhered to by everyone to ensure that our board runs smoothly, and provides a fun and productive experience for all of our community members and visitors.
