17 Turn and 19 Turn Gearing Questions

Just wanted to get a feel from you guys what you think the best overall gearing would be for a 17T and 19T mod motors? Im only really bashing the truck on asphalt and some dirt. I am using Stealth trans with B4 slipper. Let me know what you think.

Most I see people say about turns is use the same size tooth as the motor then go from there. Try also using a FDR calculator to get a proper spur size to match your ratio.

13.5 turn or 17.5 turn brushless for JRX2 upgrade?

What would you go with? Also I was thinking sensorless for my first brushless.

But a fair priced well performing ESC with reverse lockout that can do both sensor or less is what I'd be looking to...

My son's flysky came with the cable, you shouldnt have to purchase it separately. I need to hit their site again, I havent seen the GTB3C yet, no need to look :)

I'm rebuilding an old 10T with my boys(4 and 6). I want to go brushless with it and was wondering if a 21.5 turn would have too little power. They're both already driving RCs. They run a 17.5 now without problem in a buggy. I just came across a good...

21.5 is around RS-540 speed. I thought it was a good fit for my 4 year old. One thing I noticed (at least for my kids) is that if you reduce power, they don't seem to notice and have just as much fun and you won't have to fix the car as often.

The original steering links were 1 , according to the manual. Depending on the ball cups used, you might need an even shorter one.

CRC 1231 cups look identical to original AE cups, if you can find them. Unless you get lucky, original (short) AE...
