I finally got one! Been looking for one for so long. Will be rebuilding this one asap, I hope you guys can help me through it.

Looks like an upgraded steering assembly. It has a little shaving, is this really from Kyosho made for this chassis?

Came with a Tekin ESC and a Novak mini receiver.

Bonus OG bodyset and decals.

Pretty happy with the deal, for what I paid. :P

He was heading East to Pickering I think, it was a good timing. I did get the Avante. I have some parts to make it look better. No plans on keeping it though, planning on selling it to recoup the $ (or at least part) I spent for the Optima.

I asked him about the RC10 (plus some nice vintage motors), but he wanted add'l $250, I had to pass.

What are you looking to get for the Avante?

Nice score, BTW. I just saw the Craigslist ad for those today. I have a couple Tekin micro FM receivers if you'd be interested in trading for that Novak receiver. A Tekin unit would go better with that ESC. :)

Hey! Are you in the GTA as well? 2 for 1 deal on the receivers sounds good. Got some pics?

I'll be installing a Technigold motor in the Avante, and switch the tires with a mint set of pin spikes. Honestly, I have high expectations on the Avante. Planning to ebay it unless I get offered a good sum.

I said I had a couple receivers, I didn't mean I wanted to trade them both. I can take some pics if you're interested though. Both are FM 3ch units. One is that same orange color as the ESC you have there, the other is chrome.

And I don't know what you mean by "GTA".

Greater Toronto Area. I asked because you said you saw the Craigslist ad.

I do random Google searches for Craigslist ads containing RC cars/parts I need. That just happened to be one of the ads that popped up.

That chassis is either a Turbo Optima Mid Special chassis,or a Turbo Optima Mid Custom Special (phew!) chassis.
The last of the long wheelbase Mids...In glorious carbon fibre. :D

Nice score! There are some nice and rare parts on that one. It would benefit you to make sure you pick up an under tray if it is going to be a runner. -Jeff

O yah, it came with a NIP Mid Custom body and undertray.

I was able to work on this the last couple of nights. It's getting there. It has a few nice parts. Front one way, ball diff in the rear, alum. steering bell cranks, rear adjustable toe-in assembly. It will be running with a 10.5, looks like the belt can handle it. I already filed the upper deck further to fit a saddle pack lipo.

I love seeing brushless motors in vintage cars!
I have some narrow NIP front tyres,if you need some.
Or,if you'd like to trade those narrow front rims for some wide/rear rims?
That's one tasty steering upgrade. :D
