RC10 polished chassis (first post)
Happy April Fool’s Day!
This is my first post to RC10Talk, although many of you will recognize my username from eBay. I have been lurking here for quite some time - Thanks to Anthony (aconsola), for mentioning this forum to me.
I am 36 yrs-old, my first hobby-grade R/C was a Tamiya Frog (back when it was the latest thing @ our LHS), I started racing with a Tamiya Falcon, followed by a BigWig, then finally stepped-up to an RC10 - I still have a six-gear buggy that I bought new BITD. I also had one of the first 5-link JRX-2’s in our area - I still have that buggy too!
Well, I thought I should start my posts with an RC10. This is about the only model in my collection that I don’t plan to run - a six-gear buggy with polished chassis (select parts left gold), aluminum wheels, and period correct electronics (which are not completely hooked-up).
Please enjoy a few pictures.
cheers

Welcome and nice job on the polishing. That nose plate is really different, I like it.

Wow! That looks fab. I wish to restore mine to that condition. Minus the silver tub...
Welcome aboard.

My son... ask for thyself another kingdom... for that which I leave is too small for thee.

I cannot take credit for the paint job, I believe it was from "Racer8388".tiger1 wrote:The body is super sweet. Was that blue strip painted or decal??
The blue stripes are actually painted, but, the silver stripe is done with tape (decal) - came out real nice, not quite perfect.

Hello aconsola! Yes, I have a few Losi's (and others) to post, as time allows...aconsola wrote:Welcome!

Like I said though, I thought I should start with an RC10, being that we're on [ 'RC10'Talk ] and all...

Thank you all for the complements, although I know my resto game is not to the level of many I have seen here - some of you guys are fanatics! I love it!

Re: RC10 polished chassis (first post)
Just thought I'd show another pic of the same chassis, with different body and wing - I used to race with one of these metal wings, I believe it was by "Hot Trick" (at least that's the decal I had on it...)?
