Hello again!

Been working on my JRXT some more and the old S&K Ironman motor is worn out. What types of modern brushed motors can I use without trashing the diff or other parts? How low of a turn could I go? What have you put in a jrx2/t ?

I'm going to keep the Novak 410-m5 vintage ESC which google research would indicate it should be able to handle newer motors okay.

Also I've seen some pictures of JRX2's with a slipper clutch. What would it take to put one on my JRXT which does not have one?

Stock 27t motor such as the Reedy Stockstar and Trinity Cobalt will work fine and won't damage anything that is not already damaged-

Wornout Ironman? What kind of outer shape is it in? I Know someone that might be looking for one
for a resto

Thanks,

I kinda like the Ironman, sentimental reasons I guess, it still works just doesn't have near the punch it used to. Probably excessive communicator wear but I'm no expert. I was probably going to put it in a vintage Kyosho.

Outside it's in decent shape. The sticker/paint has a few flakes, no major dings or dents in the metal, I just abused it back in the 90's when I was a no nothing 10 year old going up and down the street in 115 degree summers with no maintenance

I was looking at a 27t motors since 'stock' sounded safe. I'll do some LHS checking and see what they have.
