The schumacher mother load!! PICS NOW ADDED
The schumacher mother load!! PICS NOW ADDED
Well ar'nt I a lucky boy
Imagine my shock, Thursday of last week I phone up a modelshop in Devon to enquire about some old schumacher parts Im after for my swb cat, They had helped me out in the past so I new they had some old parts. After a long chat with the owner and much persuading he decided he was fed up with going through his massive box of spares looking for small bits and bobs, and would I be intrested in the lot. well after some haggling I think I got it for a fair price. It turned up on saturday morning, after a quick look I can see things like the rare grey cat bumper, x3 cat xls chassis's, x1 complete swb cat chassis set hex sllipper drum diff and loads more. I will be listing it all and offering most of it up for sale, so keep your eyes peeled for pics (I will add some tonight). Oh and the cherry on top of the cake was x1 mint cougar 2 works chassis and x1 mint red team chassis, OH HAPPY DAYS!!!!!
(CLOSE UP OF SOME OF THE RARER PARTS), and a sneak peek of my swb project, more pics to follow

Good on you mate - great stuff.
Goes to show that the only dumb question is the one you dont ask!
If you happen to have any NIB front and rear shock sets in that lot - I would be interested.
Good score.
Cheers

Congratulations, Scott. Sounds like you got a great deal there! And, hopefully, you should be able to complete your SWB project (with a grey bumper!!)....

What? Another Works chassis?? You have some kind of divine guidance when it comes to finding those things? Grey bumper as well - that's a huge stroke of luck. Well done mate, chuffed for you

WOW! what a find - congrats! What i'd give to find a NIP works Cougar 2 chassis!
Its amazing what is out there ready to be found... I can remember when my mate ran a model shop - he had brought the inventory from another shop that had closed when he started up - there were boxes of parts for all sorts of cars that now would fetch a pretty penny on ebay - back then they were just useless parts for obsolete cars that nobody raced anymore. The internet & ebay in-particular gives a place on which to breed the interest in these old cars & makes certain parts & cars desirable & therefore valuable.
P.S; your CAT looks gorgous - such elegant looking buggies aren't they!
