Trans Am Wheel Trouble

I hit a bad pothole on the Long Island Expressway and badly dented my front wheel and shredded my tire. My rear wheel got dented, but holding air still.

So i need to find some wheels asap... i talked to the people below for the American racing torq wheels here, for $700 shipped to my door for 4 wheels, they are the chrome plated not polished aluminum.
Does anyone know of a better place/price?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=300388764245&ru=http%3A%2F%2Fmotors.shop.ebay.com%3A80%2F__%3F_from%3DR40%26_trksid%3Dm39%26_nkw%3D300388764245%26_fvi%3D1&_rdc=1
I also need 4 new tires, anyone have recommendations other than tire rack i can purchase them from?

thanks for any help

I have purchased tires from tirerack.com with good results. saved some money too. I also have the machinery to mount and balance, so that saves me money. I don't know what places charge for mounting/balancing.

if they want 700 for all 4 in a 17", thats going to be hard to beat.

Go with a set of these...

you dont need salt flats to have sweet wheels.

I've wanted to run those on something since they came out. almost bought them for my 55 wagon, but sold the car

do you still have any good wheels left? if they are stock, you can get replacement wheels for a really good price at

http://www.lakeshorewheelandtire.com, though I don't know how fast their shipping is.

other factory wheels can be had used from http://www.tacreationsusa.com (check that, might not be .com)

tirerack always seems like the best deal for me usually. I have 'em drop shipped to an NTB to get them installed.

I had BFG KDWS tires on my GTO factory, moved to some dunlops which are killer for dry and wet, but apparently, cannot handle ANY snow, not that you really asked, hahhah...

have had great luck with BFG Traction T/A tires on a few projects so far. decent grip, little noisy, but good all around tire that isn't a million dollars.

if you haven't noticed, something happened recently, I beleive some kind of import tax thing from obama, tire prices have gone up for imported tires, which means, pretty much all of them.

i wouldn't use the rims from the ebay link because those are the rims the use on the mustangs, but with a different center cap. and it's just wrong to be using ford rims on a GM. :P

its a black WS6 2002 trans am,

wheels i have now are these
Image'
(from the TA creations site there)

Honestly after deciding NOT to file a insurance claim, because the wheels are $910 each and tires are 250 each, and im sure i need a alignment etc etc.. i dont want geico to decide to "total" my car because they have to pay $3 grand or something... and then of course, even though geico says they wont raise rates, YOU KNOW they will..

reason i asked, jeg's has those same wheels in chrome, anthracite, and black. the chrome is the most expensive ($216 or something like that), but the other ones are close in price to the ones on ebay. i just thought, depending on color, a dark spoke would look better.

anthracite - http://www.jegs.com/p/American-Racing/American-Racing-Torq-Thrust-M-Series-Anthracite-Finish/763968/10002/-1

black - http://www.jegs.com/p/American-Racing/American-Racing-Torq-Thrust-M-Series-Black-Finish/763969/10002/-1
