yoke tires

Did these yokomo TF-5s come on one of the yoke buggies stock? They are mega narrow. I just found this pair nip.

Those were an optional yokomo part about a year after the release of the yz870c. One of yokomo's limited choice of tires the other being square block. figures you had to buy the rims too. At the time everyone ran cat tyres as they had more choice. They became popular in the 2wd circuit soon after the release as they gave sharper grippier steering. i raced with them at the time but they were no different on the 4wd 870c than standard tf-8s's to be honest. The yokomo tr fronts were always too grippy for most drivers. When i ran them i cut the outer edges of spikes off to make for faster cornering without gripping too much and ending up on 2 wheels. They have an evil kind of aggressive look to them too
