Saw this on craigs list.I dont know if it is worth what I paid, but I couldn't pass it up.The seller built it and never ran it,he bought it brand new and shelved it.Oh yeah I paid 150 for it.All i know is it is a Matt Francis model XXXT 2 graphite.Body is cut,has the threaded shocks, the transmission feels like butter. :D Box contains manual, decal sheet and window masking. So what do you guy's think did I do good?

That really isn't a bad grab, it is the last of the Driver editions and it was the only Losi to have that (cough) junk 2.5something tranny. I like it

Very nice find, and it's mint and ready to run!! Paint it up and take it out to the track!

I know viirtually nothing about losi's with more than one X in the name. How does this differ from the current XXXT-CR listed on losi's site?

What I can think of offhand, the CR has:

~0.2” longer chassis.
Many parts are EA3 instead of graphite, chassis, arms, t plate, towers, etc. (more flex, better for 1/8 rough tracks).
Quick change rear with aluminum hubs (with vertical ball studs, not sure if MF2 had that).
Rims for quick change rear (from AD2 gasser I think, front still uses nuts, but same rims :D )
Think the front axles are different for the QC rims (spacing).
Went back to a Gen 1 based tranny (black case), with slipper disks behind the diff rings, caged thrust bearing, and no diff tube (handed outdrives).
T pate for Gen 1 tranny, think the pivot block changes back with that too.
Think the doggy bones are different for QC hub.
Another row of camber link positions in the rear tower (running change to same part no. I think).
Body.
Longer (& wider??) battery bar (needed for longer chassis).

Nice man! Of all the trucks I've run and reviewed over the years the MF2 was definitely the BEST handling out of the box I'd ever driven. But URGH THAT BODY!!! LOL

Bongo, thanks!
I've been considering getting a newer kit to build and put on the shelf next to the original series for some contrast of old/new, but don't want to get sucked in to buying all the xx/xxx series, it's a slippery slope 8)

No problem Aconsola, glad to help. Besides I owe you, you’ve helped me out with my faded memory several times on the early stuff, Thank You Sir. I can remember the CR stuff a little better than all of the old JR details that I once knew! (of course anyone please add/correct to my list if you can)

Yeah, the refinements and various models (of every series really) are both a blessing and a curse. Neat that you can do a lot of tweaking & updating easily. But it can be a little confusing at times no doubt.

Oh, where are my manners, Kayne that is a sweet truck, me jealous! The battery tray, the white pad or whatever… what is that, is it a stock item? Thanks in advance!

Hey Thanks,
The white thing is a pad for the battery it's just paper stuck to the foam.Ithink it can be pulled off.The battery strap is there it slid to the side.

Ok total Noob question here but what are the differences between the normal Rc10's compared to the Driver Editions?
