Here is a 6x6 oddity made by Robbe. Dual motor, belt drive 6x6 amphibian. Robbe and Graupner seemed to be pretty good and making weird stuff like this. Definitely unique.

I love Rodeos :D

For info, the design of this, er... thing, has been bought by Reely now... so you can get a brand new Rodeo under the Reely name for about 100EUR. Check out Reely Kaiman on the web, that's the one.

Suspension??? bwaaaahahahahah  what suspension? :D

If only I could change that German flag in left top corner, that usually designates options for languages, as trying to register is a bitch in German on their site, cheers for in stock, now who wants one :D

Yeah, there is really no suspension to speak of. Any dampening would come from the tires. The drivetrain rolls surprisingly well considering all the belts and pulleys.

man, that thing is cool....but very simple. I bet if you could find a plastic tub, you could fab that thing up pretty simply from some cogs and belts from mcmaster-carr, a couple of gear reducer transmissions(say like from an airplane), some clod wheels, and an assortment of bits and pieces. the top plate looks like just a plain old peice of kydex.

the tub looks actually kind of like a full size car battery box.

the only thing you'd have to get is a body to fit it.

of course, you'd have to be able to spin the steering gimbal in a transmitter 90 degrees to give you tank-like controls. I know in some of the old radios this was possible.

The Kyosho blizzards steer with a steering wheel transmitter with clutches and brakes, could easily use that system.

I figured the sites language could be changed as well but I couldn't find anything to do it. So instead I changed http://www.conrad.de to http://www.conrad.com to see if I would get an English version of their site and I did. The only problem is the Rodeo isn't on the English version. :?
