I don't understand...

why the RC10T and some other truck bodies' front wheel wells sit behind the actual wheels.
It bothers me.
Anyone else?

Is there a fix for this?
... aside from the one that I chose, which was the buggy body.

it's that way so that when wheels are turned while the suspension is compressed, the tires don't hit the body.

In addition, this is a racing truck as opposed to a scale truck. If you want realistic, pick up a High Lift or Bruiser.

I think you might not get what I'm after.
I want aesthetics.

I'm asking what other people have done... maybe cut the body differently, etc.

possible solutions:

1) find a longer body
2) shorten wheelbase
3) remove shocks
4) only look at it from the front
5) only look at it from the back

that's all i can think of right now. i might feel more creative later.

6) put the body a little bit forward (both wheel arches will get offset, it will look more balanced I guess)
7) cut the body in half and fill the gap

I hear ya Heffay, I saw this picture of a Dahm's body on an RC10t and instantly liked the way it looked. When I asked what body it was I was told it was a 1/8 Commando (I believe) and several people commented it looked awful but I thought it looked cool, and that's all that matters to me.

excellent example a10.

I might cut the sides up a bit and maybe go back a tiny bit on the rear of the front fender wells... but that looks much more pleasing to my eye, as well. Although, I still like the RC10T body shape better. But, as this thread is all about wheel wells, good work.

BITD there were some bodies available that were longer and the wheel wells lined up. Parma SODA truck bodies maybe??? Can't Remember. Mr L. probably knows.

McAllister's bodies fit wheel wells nicely.

4) only look at it from the front
5) only look at it from the back

But... they have those ridiculous skinny front tires! :P
I've got a buggy body on my truck... so, I know what you mean.

Just sell it and go buy a Slash, you will get a scale looking truck and a great runner out of the deal.
