I just picked this up from my LHS guy today:

I know, Dumb question  The only reason I ask is because of the fact I've never seen worlds chassis in person. And all this one says on the package is: " #6302 Chassis Tub, Aluminum Hard Anodized Milled"

yes, if you only paid the price on the header card you did very well my friend. you could probably triple or quadruple your money on it. keep the bag and header card even though they are beat up, it's worth more in the bag if you go to sell it.

Thanks. Yeah the bag is all thrashed. the chassis is in great condition except for what looks like a defect in the anodizing at the rear on the bottom. and a small, small, small chip out of the front (looks like the bag was dropped) I actually paid less than header price. To be honest I have no intentions of building a worlds chassis, they seam to be well sought after by collectors. If I keep it I know Ill run it  It might sit on my shelf for a month or two but I'll lose all self control and run it, Thats just how I am. I'm going to have to think this one out. It might be in the best interest of the chassis if I just let it go... :?

sell it for around $150-200 and buy yourself a more complete car. used worlds cars with the same chassis just in runner condition typically sell for $200

you really think it will go for that much? wow. I think I just might have to sell it. I know I'll destroy it if I keep it.

don't, you may be able to trade it to someone in this forum.
excellent score man.

do you have a car now that you run? if not, trade the chassis for a runner

Does anyone actually have a production number to confirm the rarity of these and other chassis'?

According to AE no, and the milled tub was (as the header card shows)
an option part, and included apparently with some DS's, 10t's for sure etc... But some of the figures I see here regarding the value of this part are really really high. Brandon sold a really nice worlds on the bay for less than people are saying this chassis is worth, ONE nip chassis like this sold for big money--but that was one, not the past 10, and I know of someone who just scored a new out of pkg nose and milled chassis for peanuts, and I do mean peanuts from the bay  the only way to know is to put her up f/s--or decide what it's worth to the seller and hope he finds a buyer.

since the worlds kit was only out for 1 - 1.5 years, i think it would be pretty rare. i think most people at the time were waiting for the new kit (b2) so i dont think these sold too well. i didnt bother with one at the time.. didnt think it was worth all the extra money to upgrade a team car that essentially had the same parts except a lighter chassis and "graphite" shock towers.

is a worlds car chassis rare? no. is a nip worlds chassis that is still in the original package 16-17 years later rare? yes.
