RC10 Graphite Team car Oval style 91'
This is exactly what I started racing oval with around 1990, when you were in the "novice" class you just threw some tires and an EDM body in it and you were good to go-when you got to the "advanced" class, you started making car improvements and got quicker and....you always starting dyeing everything black. Once you got to "expert" class, your car pretty much lookied like this-
Proline waffle rears, Tamiya smoothie or Dynamite fronts Houge steering--we used either the Houge bellcranks, or the A&L kit depending on the track conditions Aluminum rims made by my buddy's dad in 89'--I need to put a good polish on these, then they will go on here-you had to be really cool at our track for Todd's dad to make these for you, I still don't know how I got em'
Just needs an EDM body! Andy's front end, trailing axle steering and Tecnacraft rods Andy's rear arms with Rayborn slider conversion and Losi 2038 rear hubs. Robinson Racing 64p tranny internals and Losi 64p outer gear New 6036 chassis, and wheels with some bling

Nice ride
. I like the small rims and tires on this kind of cars. Very sharp
.

Very nice.
Did you ever run Tamiya Lancia tires instead of Pro-line waffles?

you mean you guy's were not running GRAPHINATORS back then or were they more in the expert class. when i started in '92 that was the best low buck oval car to have.

did you modify the outdrives on the stealth trans to accept the rayborn sliders? widen the groove, and drill a hole for the cross pin? neat. they are hardened, no? have to use a cobalt bit or something to get that hole in there?

That is a car from Walt's Hobby in Syracuse NY, the outdrives are Moose Ti, so they slot easily- and the R&D terminators were brought up from the US Openwheel at Kranzels, but they ran like crap
until we figured out the setup so for a year and a half we ran about 3 laps faster than a Terminator
with this car. Then the B2 came out and it was faster in stock trim than this one was

Were the 1.6" wheels better than the 2.0" for oval racing in 1991?

Yes they had a lot of sidewall flex which enhances the traction on a slick track
Re: RC10 Graphite Team car Oval style 91'
So you never used Tamiya Lancia rear tires at Walt's old store?

How hard are Andy's arms to find? I looked a while back with no luck. I didn't do any extensive research or anything, but I was surprised they didn't pop right up on ebay.

Charlie, I am incredibly envious of your fresh chassis. Overall the buggy looks great
