Hello
I know the B4 buggy has a lot of GPM and other metal parts available but what options are there in terms of chassis? Can I get an aluminum chassis for this buggy? Is there a CF conversion available in the style of the RC10 graphite or something similar? I'd love to find a metal chassis.

team durango made an milled alloy chassis but finding someone that will part with it will cost you about what 10-15 b4's will run you. highly collectible and rare.
you also have the x-6 mid engine molded chassis conversion. its still available
and my personal fave is the atomic carbon s2 carbon fiber mid motor chassis conversion. very short production run / no longer made.
x-6 site =

Check out the vega conversion, I think it is under team extreme. Also something out there called a centrino.

The Gen 2 Vega has just been released for the B4.1

And the Centro C4.1 is a more successful mid motor conversion than the Vega

Both nice looking conversions

may i ask why someone would want any additional metal parts on a b4?
you'll break more, you'll be heavier and the plastic/plastic carbon cars will still win.
i'm not talking about mid motor conversions, i can see why those work on european turf/carpet tracks.

There is a company that makes an aluminum sheet style chassis for the B4/4.1 as well as the T4 series of cars. I think they had 3 different lengths. They are black anno (i assume hard). I don't have a link, but they were being marketed over on RCTECH. Look over there and see what you can find. -Jeff

I experimented with a RCRD +8 chassis a while back. It’s a nice piece but very heavy, 100+ grams heavier than the plastic AE Worlds chassis. The car was very planted but felt lazy, I was thinking about revisiting it soon with the use of a shorty pack.

Did anyone make mid-engine conversions for the B2/B3?
