what are these and who made them and why are they special

Are they foam expansion thingies to make the shocks smoother?

Umm - peppermint lifesavers, made by wrigley's, improves breath almost instantly??? Am I close

my first thought spacer/adapters that you would put in wheel hubs
like when u used to be able to get generic / one size fits all wheels then put the right adapter in for your sized bearing.

i think im sitting at the same desk as in that pic
drawer on the right with a space under it?
