YZ870c wheels and tyres - help needed

I am in the process of restoring a YZ870c 'Super Dog Fighter' the car is coming on well (thanks MR.LEXAN great body shell

)
I have built up a collection of Yokomo 'ZC' wheels and 'Hot Laps' tyres which I have mainly bought from eBay. The problem is due to me not having a parts list and only working from the sellers 'description', I now have 'ZC-821 Front wheels', but 'TF-5' tyres which seem far to narrow for the wheel?
Can anyone help me out with the correct part numbers for the standard wheels and tyres which came with the kit?
Your help would be appreciated....

The TF-5 fits the ZC-800, the nornal wide front tire is the TF8 or TF9 and they fit the ZC-801. The Rear TR8 or TR9 fit the ZC805. If I'm wrong there will be a rush of postings so we shall see. These are all 2.0 by the way.

Looks like its back to scouring eBay for a set of TF-8's - TR-8's and matching wheels!....... I get the feeling this could take some time!

That's a sweet looking car which is worth the search. Good Luck, there are some TF8's on eBay now and I think there were multiple sets.

I had a tonne of nip Yoke tyres a while back and they were selling like hot cakes for just AUD$10 each set. Infact I had so many I was giving them away as an added extra half of the time- LOL!
I know I have a pair of the rears but they are a little used.

Here's a photo of the ZC-821 wheels which I have, they look exactly like the ones which came with the car originally?
The strange thing is that I have seen these other ZC-821 wheels which had plastic ribbing as on the YZ10 wheels.

These Yoke part numbers seem confusing!

Someone else here might know a little more about those wheels but the notation on the header card that they are Roar legal means that they can be used at Roar events with a rubber band around the tire rib slot and a specific tire to be used at those events. I don't think I've got this 100% correct but there is something special about those rims and they came out later like for the YZ-10.

Retro back in 89 at the world's here in Australia there was a whole big deal that went down with the yokomo team drivers running 2.2inch rims and tyres. This was deamed unfair by roar and by the 91 world's in detroit they were outlawed. Rims were to be 2.1inch I think so the way Yokomo went around it was to supply rubber bands (the blue ones) with each set of rims. These were first glued onto the rim then the 2.2inch tyre was fitted over the top and glued in place. Kinda sneaky I know but thats how they got around it.
The other rims with the webbing on the outside were made for the later model dogfighters and have a different offset to the first series of dog fighters.
If you want to trade I would be interested in the webbed rims-

Hi Jason is this what you mean? these wheel set are 2.1" and not 2.2" that's why yokomo provided a blue rubber band to glue the 2.2" tires on it.
im also interested to trade my 2.1 wheel set with those webbed rims

Yokomo didn't gave a new part number after the evolution of a part design, it's the same for wheels, arms, belts etc...
So they started part number with the first YZ-870C/YZ10 generation.
For exemple, a wheels came alive with a ZC821 part number, and followed with a ZC821B and latter ZC821C etc...
Hope this help !

Thanks Kenooze, that helps clear up some of the confusion.
