I'll take one when I get home this afternoon. Looking at the 1st page of the the 25 years thread and CE section, I'm like "yeah no, I don't have those" LOL

Edit: I'll take a photo of the Spur gear also. It also has its original Reedy motor mounted up

if the spur is black it would have been replaced or dyed, there wasnt a black 6 gear spur gear in those days, it was well after the 6 gear was gone. Same with a black 6 gear case and black front shorty arms, if you ever see those they have been dyed.

I figured that might be the case. Considering everything else is bone stock (other than the ESC), I thought it a bit odd. Like this wasn't used for racing, so why did the previous owner switch it out. You guys are most definitely the experts so once I get the rest of the photos loaded today, y'all can maybe provide some knowledge of what this thing is.

Well one thing I did notice in your pics is that your trans brace clearly had a stealth under it at some point.
Does your motor mount have another hole towards the bottom that’s currently not being used ?

Who do you race for ?
Me……. I race for me.
That’s impossible, I was told you need a sponsor to race.

I don't think it does, but I'll make sure to take off the dust cover and snap a photo of that side also.

Apparently I’m an idiot. It does have the stealth holes. Trans brace is used, but no stealth transmission :/

Yeah, I could see them maybe missing the countersinks, but to have no stealth holes at all would've been unlikely. If the trans brace is original to the car it obviously had a stealth. And it's not even the early version for the stealth, which really makes the 6 gear wrong.

Now there are B stamp C.E.'s out there that I will say with 99.9% certainty came with a 6 gear trans. I had one that showed absolutely no sign of ever having a stealth in it and have seen others. Chassis was drilled, motor plate was drilled, but it had a 6 gear trans and brace. But without them being documented, new built from the box, can't go 100%.

I will venture to say that I'm like 99% positive that someone lifted the stealth trans out of that CE. All the other pieces fit for it to have had one originally.
