Okay, I've been looking for yokomo stuff here and there, and a memeber on another forum sent me these pics, he hasn't gotten a price to me yet though. I'm pretty sure it's a box stock '94 super dogfighter? Any opinions on this car? I'm trying to keep the VONATS in mind and I'm pretty sure the cut off is '93 right? Anyway, I know the "what's it worth" topic is frowned upon, but I've looked around ebay and such and can't find a good price to base the value of this car on, I really just want to make sure I don't get hosed if I decide to buy it, So maybe one of you Yoke gurus could shoot me a PM and tell me what fair market would be on a rig like this? Or is it not really worth my time?

From what i can see it looks like it might be quite good under that layer of dust, it seems to be missing all the steering, these parts arent that hard to find as all yokes from about 88 to 97 used all the same basic steering servo saver parts so that shouldn't be too much of a drama, if its missing a bumper you will probably have to make one as they are hard to find. As for price you wouldnt go crazy as its not some rare shelf queen but it not of peice of junk either so i quess its whatever it worth to you, at least bodies are easy to get these days.

A MrLexan Pavidis body and undertray would finish it off! Value is a tough one. A few years back, they showed up quite regularly and the prices were in the $100 range. But, I haven't seen any in quite a while (or parts to support one!), so perhaps it's be worth more.

Okay, I went ahead and picked it up, I think I got a pretty good deal on it. I got it for the low end of what some of you told me on PM was a good deal. It was cheaper than a new Mini T

Anyway, I'm gonna need a couple parts for it, steering gear, and wheel sets.

car showed up, I was happy with some of it and a little dissapointed with some of it.

The good would be the shocks are super clean, as are the towers, batter straps, top deck, and most of the white plastic. The underside of the chassis is super clean as well. The wheels are in nice shape so I think I can salvage those for a back up set.

The bad would be the fact that the servo was glued to the chassis with half a bottle of CA....... fortunately, it was confined to just under the servo, and I was able to get it all off with a little heat. Other things I wasn't really expecting, were the missing rear belt and pretty trashed rear diff pulley.... So my wanted list got a little longer.

I was curious, are the belts on the '94 the same as the previous yz10's I need belts apparently...

here's the start:

the rear belt is the same across all YZ10s (also the same as the YR4 if that helps). Front belt is longer on the '94+ that the earlier ones.

Okay, I've been through the whole thing now. I still need a few parts though. I think besty22 is gonna have me covered on belts, but I still really need a 33T diff pulleys, the front that I have may work okay as a spare, but the rear is beyond useable, probably why the car doesn't have a belt on it. I have a wanted post for this stuff as well, but thought one of the yoke specialists might see it hear first, I know I don't pay that much attention to the wanted posts. Cedric is helping me out with a few things, but still need a couple more.

Got a little more done on the car. My hardware order came in, I think I have enough for about 10 '94 series cars! LOL! so if anyone want's a stainless steel hex drive screw set let me know! Truth be told I just can't reuse gummed up old hardware. I got packets of every size on the car, even the 30 and 35 mm long flat heads for the diff covers.

As far as the assembling of the car so far, I got the front and rear bulkheads and arms on the car, as well as the motor mount. I had a couple bent hinge pins on the arms, coincidentally B3 rear arms are about the same width so I got out the .1255" chucking ream and now the arms are nice and free with a readily available hinge pin.

I'm going to box up the car for now seeing as I need parts still. So if anyone can help with the parts, please shoot me a PM!

I hate building diffs, but it wasn't so bad with the New pulleys! I picked up an extra pair too from the shop that had them. I polished the outdrives in the lathe with a little scotchbrite, I think they came out pretty nice!

That is coming along quite nicely, will definitely be watching this one come back to life.

Okay, got kinda stuck in tonight and blasted most of the car together, still have to sort out the steering, I have most of the parts (bellcranks and some posts that will work, need to sort out some links and a center link), I also need to go by the hardware shop to get some new o rings for the shock tower slider screws. All the parts fit really well upon reassembly, and the new hardware was definitely a pleasure to use while putting it together. I have NIP wheels to go on it, and as soon as payday hits I'll be sending a paypal to Jay for a pavadis to top her off! Gotta give another shout out to Chris for his help with the rear belts, they are a quality piece and I can't wait to get some new fronts as well!

I like how the car is clean and tight, but it has just enough scratches on it allready that I will not feel bad about running it!

I don't own a Yoke but I will say that one is turning out nice! Looks like new from my vantage point!
