Rothmans Livery For My Honda Cbr 1000rr

As many of you old timers on the board here recall my penchant for Rothmans livery. I've created many vehicles that never ever wore the Rothmans livery. In this situation it is the proverbial cart leading the horse. A couple of years ago I noticed you could buy prepainted fairings in rothmans colors for the CBR1000rr. When wife was around, she was adamant about me not getting a streetbike motorcycle so the thoought of a rothmans liveried CBR was just a dream. Now that she is gone and I no longer have those insane divorce lawyer bills I was able to pick up a nice 2005 honda CBR 1000rr about a month ago.

I saved my pennies and bought a set of fairings for it. Yesterday I spent the evening putting them on.

Not really, more of a fan of the Rothmans livery in general

On this bike it's a tank cover. On my katana, I had to paint the tank to match

I was able to score an almost new set of Zooni leathers a while back at the flea market for $80 http://www.zoonileathers.com/ the only thing is that they are yellow and black

Thanks for the compliments guys. I am almost finished, just need to grab a few fasteners from the motorcycle shop. I am really pleased with how it turned out.

Make some room on the shelf for that bike! :D

You're not gonna ride it and risk scratching it I hope.

Only kidding of course. Awesome 1:1 build! Great job Jim!

I finished it up today. Put the front fender on which took a bit of work. I had to drill out the rivets on the brake cable mounts and then re pop rivet them into the new fender. Made a trip to the motorcycle shop for some well nuts and aluminum hardware. Eventually I'll get some nice pics while on a ride.
