Tennessee Vintage racers (new results added 4/18/10)

Post by markt311 »

I think we need our own thread so here it is, anyone is more than welcome to post in here.

I went out to the super secret test track today, ok so it's a track in a park about 10 minutes from my house. I ran my rc10 with a 10.5 and wow is it fast! The track was just about perfect, it's a little loamy which I like.

Here's a few pics, trying to drive and snap pictures is not easy

You got it.

David Wall says he's not going because he can't drive that track  I guess he'll be racing oval on saturday, that's an easier layout!! lol.

You beat me to it, I was just going to post it! Good run Brandon, I really showed how durable the old RC10 is  I still managed 3rd with my sloppy driving.

That race was:
Brandon's old but new rc10 (green white and black)
My Team Car (blue pink and white)
2 B2's
3 B4's

RC10's got 1st and 3rd

I'll be there, I should have my 4wd slash by then.

We also have a big race coming up in April at my home track, The Rebel Open! It's going to be a lot of fun, they are giving away a Gibson guitar and there's a steak cookout for all the racers on Saturday too.

This is not a vintage race, but it's big news for the local outdoor track. White House Hobbies is putting on the 1st annual Rebel Open (good name huh!). It will be a 3 day race April 16-18. Here's the really exciting news though.

WHH is excited to announce the following pro drivers are confirmed for the RC Rebel Open - April 16, 17th and 18th.

Adam Drake - Team Losi

His wife - Ronda who will be representing team Mugen!

Alan Burton - Team Losi

Jim Dieter - 1987 Roar Champion

Chad Philips - Team Mugen

Eric Anderson - EA Motorsports

WOW - what a line up so far - this race is going to be amazing

Just a little update. We just got done with the Rebel Open and 2 members of RC10talk won their respective classes!! It was a long and dusty weekend, Adam and Ronda Drake were really great people to meet. I can't believe how much track time they put in, at least 2 hours each of on track practice on Friday alone!

After a 45 minute main the top 2 were a few feet apart at the finish! Derek Weatherholt took the TQ spot from Adam Drake, but Adam came back and won the main by just .8 seconds
Here's the link to the results page http://whitehousehobbies.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=32&Itemid=46

Brandon AKA BrandonG on here won SCT Mod after taking the TQ spot... Great run Brandon!
I qualified 3rd and took the win in the 4x4 SCT class with my new Jammin' SCRT10, fun weekend but I'm ready for a nap now!

Here's a picture of me with the trophy I won, very nice hardware they gave out at this race!
