For the Kyosho Triumph out there or what. There is so little available for this buggy its like it was released for a year then pulled. Im actually looking for a manual to build mine up, but Im falling very short in my findings. Im not finding much info at all on this buggy. I did pm Darryn a little while back, and he said he could help me in a few weeks, because he wasnt near his rc's. Other than him I dont know where I could get a copy of a manual. Any info out there that I havent stumbled onto?

Ide love to buy a runner, but I still have yet to see a used one go for sale. Hell I barely see nib ones sold.

Ferretti, Youre the best! So hard finding info on the triumph. YAY now I can get to building.

No problem , if you get stuck for Kyosho stuff and no one here can help there's a TC member called terry.sc who seems to be a Kyosho guru, nice guy to. That site has loads of different manuals not just Kyosho, if you have a look you might find other stuff your interested in.

I have the manual. If .pdf would work better for you (you can then print it easily), I'll scan it for you.

Thanks Jeep. Im doing alright with what I have. PDF would have been sweet, but scanning isnt fun so no worries. I just finished the gearbox/motor mount setup. Its going pretty good. A question for you Jeep, did your kit come with universals or dog bones? My kit came with bones, so Im going to have to dig up some uni's or see if MIP made a cvd kit and get those. I really cant put in bones for a kit like this.

Here are more crappy pics of the build up. Its done finally after 4 years of saying it was going to get built. Now its time for some era correct electronics, a le mans motor, and paint up the body. I was lucky to snag this kit NIB for a measily $65. Yeah not a total steal, but I like the price.

They might look good, but they perform not as well as they look. The dual belt tranny rolls like a flat tire, the diff it typical crappy Kyosho (it slips until you tighten it to the point of not functioning), the drive hex that mates to the tire is held onto the axle with... friction. I was reasonably successful with it after putting a Stealth tranny in it. I tried the Dynastorm right after the Triumph and it was far better. Then I just finally went back to AE. Being the only person at the track with your car gets kinda lame after a while. ...and so does relying on Tower Hobbies for parts (and that was pre-Internet!).

Cool to see some Triumph fans out there! I have two in the attic, and enough bits to probably build a third (minus chassis plates).

The Triumph was the first r/c car I built myself. I was the only one running Kyosho at a track dominated by Team Cars and the (then new) Losi XX. When I retired the buggy, it had a lot of Losi and AE bits on it (Losi shocks, AE steering bits and drive hubs to run AE wheels). The two I have now were wild-hair buys from people about to throw them away. They both need help, but could be raced with just a little TLC.


A NIP kit for $65??? I'd have paid that for just the body! I love the lines of the OEM Triumph body. Nothing else like it out there.

Does anyone have any new spares for this that they are willing to part with? I just a few odds and ends. Lemme know.
