Computer questions...again

Post by klavy69 »

Calling on you computer gurus out there...again. You came to my help last time but have a simple little question again. Am using WindowsXP and I am trying to save my 'favorites' list to a USB flashdrive...just can't figure out how  . Figured out how to move my pix and files I wanted to keep to it so I can move that info to my newer tower but have come to a brain cramp about this one. I know I'm pry trying to overthink it and its something easy and simple to do so go ahead and make fun of me as long as you can get me easy to understand instructions on how to do it  . Thanx ahead of time...

Favorites is just a file on your c: drive under users then maybe your name as a user if that 's how you set it up. It's there with your pictures and documents. Do a search on favorites and it will tell you the path to the file.

If you are using Inernet Explorer, you can go to File / Import and Export and export your favorites to a file. That file can then be imported on the new machine.

for ie

open my computer and navigate to the following folder

C:\Documents and Settings\*your computer username here*\Favorites

you can copy the entire favorites folder of just the links inside it that you want.
